What: Surrey County Council will host a citizenship ceremony for a 104 year-old man. He is believed to be the oldest ever person to become a new British citizen.
When: 1.45pm, on Wednesday, 1 February.
Where: County Hall, Penryhn Road, Kingston-upon-Thames, KT1 2DN.

Taufeek Khanjar, 104, is originally from Iraq and worked as a jewellery maker in Baghdad. He now lives with his daughter in South Cheam and has an active life for his age. The ceremony will take place in the Grand Hall, at Surrey County Council’s County Hall.
