Surrey County Council Leader David Hodge said: “I regret that Tim Hall has decided to step down from the Cabinet for family reasons.
“I have accepted Tim’s decision and an announcement about a new appointment to the Cabinet will be made shortly.
“I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for Tim’s service on Surrey County Council’s Cabinet and I wish him well.”
Tim Hall, said: “It is with great regret that I have decided to step down from the Cabinet, but unfortunately I can no longer balance the pressures of serving on the Cabinet with my family responsibilities.
“I have enjoyed serving on the Cabinet enormously and I have no doubt David and his team will continue to take the county council from strength to strength.
“I will remain a county councillor and look forward to continuing to serve the people of Leatherhead and Fetcham East.”
