Surrey County Council’s Garath Symonds has been appointed to two key National Youth Agency roles.
The council’s Assistant Director for Young People joins the Board of Trustees and becomes the chair of the Education and Training Standards Committee.
Mr Symonds, who started his career as a residential social worker, joined Surrey in 2009 from Lambeth Council and has more than 20 years of experience in delivering services for young people.
The National Youth Agency works with public, private and voluntary sector organisations to support and improve services for young people.
