Surrey County Council Leader David Hodge outlined the importance of unlocking innovative ideas to transform services at a meeting of the Full Council.
It came after Surrey was named as part of a new ground-breaking nationwide network to drive forward innovation and potentially save millions from the public purse by Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Eric Pickles.
