Investment of nearly £6 million to provide 360 extra classroom places has been signed off by the county council as part of the biggest school expansion programme in Surrey’s history.
Capacity at Langshott Infant School, Horley, will be boosted by 240 places and an extra 120 will be added at Earlswood Junior School in Redhill.
The investment is part of the council’s plans to create 3,000 new places this year and 16,000 in total by 2018 to meet growing demand fulled by a rising birth rate.
