A pre-inquest review into the death of Cheryl James will take place on Monday 11 January, ahead of the inquest itself which is due to begin on Monday 1 February.
Miss James died of a gunshot wound in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The High Court ruled in 2014 that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into the soldier’s death should be quashed and a fresh inquest held.
The new inquest will be conducted by His Honour Brian Barker QC and is expected to last several weeks, beginning on Monday 1 February.
Both the pre-inquest review, which will start at 2.30pm, and the inquest will be held at HM Coroner’s Court, Station Approach, Woking, Surrey GU22 7AP.
