Take a look inside the new Merstham library, which has opened as part of a scheme to give the area a facelift.
As well as a range of adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction, it boasts internet-connected computer terminals, laptop plug-in points and free wi-fi. CD audiobooks and DVDs are available for hire and families can also borrow children’s toys.
The library is part of a Surrey County Council, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Raven Housing Trust project to transform the Portland Drive part of the town, which also includes homes, the council’s new youth skills centre and other community facilities.
