Surrey Fire and Rescue Service support police colleagues in relocation following the discovery of RAAC

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) in collaboration with Surrey County Council’s Land and Property, have engaged in constructive conversations with Surrey Police to support with their relocation from Reigate Police Station. This is following the discovery of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) within the construction of Reigate Police Station.

SFRS have met with colleagues from Surrey Police Estates Team to explore the potential use of St David’s on the Wray Park Site.

Chief Fire Officer, Dan Quin said:In the coming weeks we will continue to work together, ensuring a smooth transition for Surrey Police, and guaranteeing that there is no adverse impact on our neighbours.

We are pleased to be able to assist our Surrey Police colleagues in this relocation and we are confident that we will be able to work well together. We hope this collaboration will build upon our partnership and most importantly ensure the continuity of essential services.”
