New videos shine a light on people providing crisis support this Mental Health Awareness Week

This Mental Health Awareness Week, a new social media video campaign shines a light on staff at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the support they offer people struggling with a mental health crisis.

The videos are part of the Faces of Support campaign run in partnership with Surrey County Council. The campaign aims to encourage people struggling with their mental wellbeing to seek support when they need it.

Emily, Service Manager for Surrey’s Mental Health Crisis Helpline said: “I like being able to listen to people, understand what they’re telling me and empathise with people when they’re feeling really overwhelmed.” You can see Emily’s Video here.

Last month, Surrey County Council’s cabinet member for health, Mark Nuti, visited the Mental Health Crisis Helpline, run by Surrey and Borders Partnership, and expressed his admiration and support for the work being done.

The dedication and compassion shown by the team at the Mental Health Crisis Helpline is truly inspiring,” he said. “It’s clear that their work not only saves lives but also instils hope and provides a lifeline to those grappling with severe mental health challenges.”

For more information about the Mental Health Crisis Helpline and the other services and resources available in Surrey for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, please visit the Surrey and Borders Partnership website or the Healthy Surrey website.
