Surrey County Council’s on demand bus service is now operating a Saturday service to connect residents to some of National Trust’s most popular sites.
From Saturday 14 June 2025, residents and visitors can book a Surrey Connect journey from Oxted Railway Station to National Trust sites at Chartwell, Quebec House and Emmetts Garden. The timetabled shuttle service runs every Saturday between 09:45 and 17:30 offering a sustainable, affordable and accessible way to travel.
Matt Furniss, Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Economic Growth said: “I’m delighted we have expanded our popular Surrey Connect service again to make it easier for people to enjoy green spaces without the hassle of driving or worrying about parking. The fares are affordable and have a set route which I hope will encourage residents to take advantage of the service.”
All journeys must be booked in advance. They can be booked at least 30 minutes before travelling and up to seven days in advance. It is recommended to allow plenty of time to explore the site when booking a return journey. A single fare costs £2.
