Surrey County Council’s Cabinet today approved a plan to reject the Coalition’s council tax freeze. The Cabinet agreed a proposal to increase council tax by 2.99% in April. Its recommendation will go forward to a meeting of Surrey’s Full Council on Tuesday 7 February where a final decision will be taken.
