Surrey County Council has today (9 September) published a Children’s Improvement Plan following Ofsted’s report in June.
Peter Martin, Surrey County Council’s Deputy Leader and Chairman of the Children’s Services Improvement Board, said: ‘The work we do to protect vulnerable children is a top priority for us and we are committed to doing everything possible to keep our young people safe.
‘While we have already made a number of significant improvements since Ofsted’s inspection at the end of last year – including a commitment to invest an extra £2million in recruiting more social workers – this document sets out our full plan to ensure our young people get all the support they need.’
