Limited places are still available for a free workshop to help Surrey firms make the most of the opportunities created by the 2012 Games.
The workshop will cover how to bid for Olympic contracts and how local businesses can operate during Games time.
The Surrey County Council event will take place on 8 February from 9:00 – 1:30pm at The Ship Hotel Weybridge.
With Surrey hosting the Olympic road race, cycling time trial and torch relay, the events will cover Olympic facts, figures, dates and timings along with tips on how local companies can benefit from increased tourism.
Denise Saliagopoulos, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services and the 2012 Games, said: “Surrey businesses have already won more than £740 million worth of 2012-related contracts and there are still more up for grabs.
“Security companies, caterers, construction firms and management consultants are among local firms to have won contracts and I encourage other local businesses to register now and make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
