Following the release of GCSE results today, Linda Kemeny, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Learning, said: “Our schools and the teachers who work in them are among the best in the country and once more they have helped pupils achieve excellent GCSE results. It’s a pleasure to see the hard work and commitment of so many young people rewarded.

“Good grades are the result of teamwork between all those involved, including teachers, parents, governors and pupils, and I’m sure everyone will join me in congratulating the students on their successes.

“I’m confident in the coming years our schools will continue to work with and encourage our young people to realise their full potential and ensure further success.”
