A series of recommendations have been made to reduce congestion and damage caused by utility companies carrying out roadworks.
Last year, a task group chaired by councillor Pat Frost was set up to investigate the issue. The task group has now reported its findings which feature a series of recommendations, including introducing a permit scheme and improving how roadworks are communicated.
Read the full report of the task group here. The report is due to go before a meeting of Surrey County Council’s Cabinet on February 5.
