More time for views on plans to open two new fire stations

Surrey residents have been given more time to give their views on plans to open two new fire stations.

The consultation period has now been extended until 4 March 2013 and will include a public meeting on 14 February 2013 6.30pm – 8.30pm at Bourne Hall, Ewell.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Authority has put forward proposals for new stations at Salfords, near Horley, and Burgh Heath that would mean crews getting to emergencies faster.

Residents can give their views before the 4 March or apply for tickets to the meeting by emailing psp@surreycc.gov.uk or calling 03456 009 009.
