Residents and businesses located within 100 metres of next month’s Prudential RideLondon events will receive a leaflet in the coming weeks to ensure they have all the information they need to prepare.
Prudential RideLondon’s leaflets include maps of the route, details of road closures and advice about how to make the most of the events.
Surrey will host two events on Sunday 4 August. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 will see 20,000 amateurs ride through London and Surrey before 150 of the world’s best cyclists tackle the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic.
John Furey, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Highways and Environment, said: “RideLondon’s leaflet explains everything people need to know about the events and road closures in Surrey on the day.
“I’d ask residents and businesses to read it carefully so any disruption they may experience can be kept to a minimum.
“The events will bring significant economic and sporting benefits to the county and with a bit of preparation we can all help to make everything run smoothly.”
