CHRISTMAS DAY UPDATE: The severe flooding warning issued by the Environment Agency yesterday for the Leatherhead and Fetcham areas has been downgraded. A flood warning is now in place.

DECEMBER 24: The Environment Agency has issued a severe weather warning for the Leatherhead and Fetcham areas after storms raised river levels.

Mole Valley District Council set up a temporary rest centre in Leatherhead to help residents evacuated as a result of flooding on the River Mole. For more information, visit the Mole Valley District Council website. Residents have also been evacuated in Godalming and Guildford.
