Surrey signs off plans for another 210 places

Plans for 210 extra school places in Addlestone have been signed off by the county council as part of the biggest expansion project in Surrey’s history.

Cabinet Member for Schools and Learning Linda Kemeny has given the go-ahead for the proposal to expand Sayes Court Primary.

She said: “These places are being provided as part of the biggest expansion project in Surrey’s history to meet growing demand at our excellent schools.

“A rising birth rate and a growing population means we have to spend nearly £330 million to create the 13,000 places we need to find over the next five years.

“Expanding Sayes Court will provide much-needed extra classroom space for children in Addlestone and the surrounding area.”
