£10m university technical college plans for Surrey

Plans have been revealed for a new £10m university technical college (UTC) focused on training the next generation of engineers and digital professionals.

The proposal for a brand new ‘careers college’ in Guildford catering for up to 800 students from Surrey, London and Hampshire is contained in a Surrey County Council report.

It comes after the county council helped to cut the number of young people in Surrey registered as not in education, employment or training to a national low.

For more information on the plans and how to give feedback, visit the county council website.
