Hundreds of spectators are expected to flock to Sunday’s Guildford Cycle Festival.
The free event takes place at Northgate, Stoke Park, between 10am and 5pm and includes a display by mountain bike stunt team Savage Skills, a guided bike ride and expert advice on safety and maintenance.
It is part of Surrey County Council’s Travel SMART scheme, which aims to promote healthier and more eco-friendly methods of transport, and comes a week after the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey events in the county.
Mike Goodman, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: “We’re particularly keen for new cyclists and people getting back on their bike after a few years to come along to the festival.”
