Following the release of A level results today, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Schools and Learning Linda Kemeny said:
“Surrey has some of the country’s best state schools and once again students’ hard work and effort have achieved excellent results.
“It’s a pleasure to see so many young people rewarded with the grades they deserve and I wish all the students every success for the future, whether that’s in further studies or work.
“I would also like to thank all our headteachers, the teams they lead and parents for all the effort, support and guidance that lies behind these achievements.
“I have no doubt that in the coming years they will carry on working with and encouraging our young people to ensure further success while we press on with providing the extra 13,000 places needed over the next five years so that every child continues to get the best start in life.”
