Pre-inquest hearing into Deepcut death to be held in Woking

A pre-inquest review into the death of Private Cheryl James will take place on Monday 1 December.

It follows the news that the fresh inquest into the death of Private James at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey, will be conducted by The Recorder of London, HHJ Brian Barker QC.

The pre-inquest review will be held in public and will take place at the Woking Borough Council Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6YL.

On 18 July the High Court ordered that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into the death of Private James should be quashed and a fresh inquest ordered after she died of a gunshot wound in 1995.
