Surrey County Council’s Cabinet has approved a proposal to increase council tax by 1.99% to take account of falling government grant and rising demand for services, particularly adult social care.
The Cabinet’s recommendation will now go forward to a meeting of Surrey’s Full Council on Tuesday 10 February.
Leader David Hodge was today interviewed by BBC Surrey presenter James Cannon about the county’s council tax plan.
