Prince Edward visits High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre

HRH The Earl of Wessex gave Surrey County Council’s Youth Support Services the royal seal of approval when he was met by county council leader David Hodge and chairman David Munro at High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre before being given a tour of the site to see the activities and projects the centre offers and unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit to the centre.

Surrey County Council leader David Hodge said: “A royal visit is a fitting way to celebrate the great work our outdoor adventure centre does with young people. Whether it’s hosting schoolchildren, youth groups or young people from local clubs, it does a fantastic job of helping them get the maximum benefit from a host of outdoor activities and I have no doubt our royal visitor was hugely impressed.”
