School places, infrastructure and Surrey’s bid for devolved powers were top of the agenda when East Surrey MP Sam Gyimah met Surrey County Council Leader David Hodge.
Mr Gyimah, who is also Childcare and Education Minister, visited County Hall last week for a meeting with Mr Hodge and senior county council officers.
Mr Hodge said: ‘I’d like to thank Mr Gyimah for visiting us at County Hall, where we held a wide-ranging and helpful meeting about schools, roads and many other important issues for Surrey, and we look forward to successful results from our discussions which will benefit local residents and the rest of Surrey.’
