Round up: Fostering open evening; Libraries celebrates science week

Fostering open evening

An event to help find more foster carers in Surrey is being held by the county council.

The open evening, which takes place on Monday 29 February, will give people the chance to find out more about what fostering is like.

Those interested in attending the event, which runs from 7-9pm at Esher High School, do not need to book. More information about fostering is available on the council website.

Libraries celebrates science week

A week-long series of digital-themed events is being staged by Surrey County Council to celebrate British Science Week.

Surrey Libraries has organised sessions that will feature Dungeons and Dragons and an introduction to tablet computers for pre-school children as well as a ‘gaming day’.

They take place from 12-20 March at Guildford Library. A full programme can be found on the council’s website and tickets for the various events can be booked online.
