Exhibits from the inquest into the death of Cheryl James have been released.
Miss James died in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The High Court ruled in 2014 that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into her death was quashed and a fresh inquest should be held.
His Honour Brian Barker QC is conducting the new inquest which is being held at HM Coroner’s Court, Station Approach, Woking, Surrey GU22 7AP.
The two photographs show the Royal Way Gate at the barracks where Miss James was on guard duty on the morning of her death. The first photograph (exhibit C3) shows the exterior of the camp, facing towards the barracks, while the second (exhibit C4) shows the view from inside the camp. The photographs were taken in 1995.
