As Surrey County Council’s Pavement Horizon project reached its first anniversary today, it was revealed that the drive to overhaul footpaths was close to covering 56 miles.
New Cabinet Member for Highways Colin Kemp confirmed the progress being made as he checked out work at Oakwood Road in Windlesham.
The scheme was launched by John Furey with the aim of resurfacing around 200 miles of pavements, including those near schools, hospitals, busy town centres and doctors’ surgeries.
