Road safety show opens up to the public

A public performance of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service’s award-winning road safety show takes place in Dorking on Wednesday, November 8.

Safe Drive, Stay Alive is aimed at 16 to 18-year-olds who are about to begin driving and features a live performance alongside a series of films and live speakers.

The show is normally only open to schoolchildren, but is opening to the public for one night only.

It takes place at Dorking Halls from 7.30pm, and is open to everyone. Email to book a place.

Starring role for actress at library

Actress Geraldine Moffat is coming to Walton Library later this month.

The New Avengers and Get Carter star will be hosting Storytime for Adults from 2pm on Monday, November 27, where she will read some short stories over afternoon tea.

Heathrow consultation under way

A new consultation on the revised plans to build a third runway at Heathrow Airport has begun.

It is running until December 19. More information on the consultation can be found here.
