More roads have been added to the repairs list following the county council’s investment of an extra £20 million in making improvements across Surrey.
Last month the council revealed that an additional £15m was being invested in “extensive repairs”. That was on top of the extra £5m announced in March.
Lead Cabinet Member for Place Colin Kemp said: “These are the latest roads that will be repaired thanks to our investment of an extra £20m and many more across Surrey will benefit over the coming months, although we’d still like ministers to recognise that our overburdened roads are underfunded because of the damage caused by the sheer volume of traffic.”
Below is a map with pins marking the latest roads benefiting from the money. Details about all Surrey roadworks, including dates and any diversion routes, can be found on a map on the council’s website.
