Cabinet Member calls for government support in tackling unauthorised waste sites

Surrey Councillor Mike Goodman has raised concerns that the current system of dealing with unauthorised waste sites isn’t effective in a letter to the Secretary of State.

The Cabinet Member for Environment and Waste highlighted issues in the planning and licensing system for waste sites as well capacity issues within the Environment Agency in a letter to Theresa Villiers, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
