Surrey County Council’s Interim Director of Public Health, Ruth Hutchinson spoke yesterday to ITV News about how a localised lockdown would work in Surrey.
Ruth stressed that whilst it was “really important to prevent a second wave” by continuing to “adhere to the guidance as much as is feasibly possible”, if there was to be a smaller local outbreak Surrey had to be able to manage it quickly.
Surrey is one of 11 ‘beacon councils’ chosen by government to road-test local COVID management.
