Surrey County Council has announced a number of road closures in the Staines and Runnymede areas to facilitate the funeral cortege for Queen Elizabeth the Second, as it travels from Westminster Abbey to Windsor on Monday 19 September 2022.
Closures will be as follows:
- From 6am – until late afternoon – A308 Windsor Road from the Runnymede roundabout towards Old Windsor
- From 11am – until late afternoon – A30 from the Clockhouse roundabout to the Runnymede roundabout (including London Road, the M25 junction 13 roundabout and The Glanty).
Once the cortege has passed, road sweepers will clear flowers and any other tributes from the roads in order for the roads to be re-opened safely.
Car parks around Runnymede Meadows and Runnymede Pleasure Grounds will be closed from 6pm on Saturday 17 September until Tuesday 20 September 2022.
