It’s back! Stars in Surrey will return by popular demand on 11 December 2024, with a new look and feel, bigger, brighter, and bolder than ever before.
These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and teams across Surrey – and nominations are now open!
They will recognise the remarkable efforts and impactful projects undertaken by dedicated individuals and groups both within Surrey County Council and outside, in local communities, businesses and other organisations. From tireless workers and volunteers to exceptional residents, these unsung heroes go above and beyond in their daily lives to make a positive difference.
Across the county, there’s a wealth of excellent work happening. Our committed staff and volunteers demonstrate outstanding practice and cutting-edge innovation to deliver the best possible service. Now, it’s your chance to ensure they receive the recognition that they truly deserve – by nominating them for a Stars in Surrey award!
The Stars in Surrey awards seek to inspire by bringing residents and colleagues together to celebrate each other’s achievements in making a positive impact on the communities they serve.
Previous winners have acknowledged the value of the night and the recognition it brings. David Robinson, Team Lead for the Business Applications Team and 2023 Stars in Surrey winner commented, “The Business Applications Team care a lot about innovative working and were honoured to have been nominated by our colleagues in Trading Standards. We are constantly looking to develop and improve all the systems we support, working closely with our customers, understanding their needs, how they use their IT systems, and building close relationships by working together. We are extremely proud to have won the 2023 Stars Award for Innovative Working! “
Hannah Mudd, Library Assistant and Stars in Surrey 2023 winner of Young Employee of the Year said, “The trophy makes our library a little more sparkly. It was awesome to win alongside Hope Guildford! I went there from 2012-2014, and it’s nice to know they’re still doing great things.”
