The inquest into the death of Private Geoff Gray begins on Tuesday 26 February 2019 at 12 noon.
Pte Gray was found dead at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey in September 2001. The High Court ruled in November 2017 that the inquest into his death, held in March 2002, should be quashed and a new inquest convened.
The fresh inquest will be conducted by His Honour Peter Rook QC, who has been appointed as an Assistant Coroner for Surrey, and will be held in Court 3, HM Coroner’s Court, Station Approach, Woking, Surrey GU22 7AP.
A room near Court 3 will be reserved for members of the media and public who can’t be accommodated in the courtroom. A live, real-time stream of proceedings – all the evidence to be considered as part of the inquest – will be screened in this room.
A note about the inquest timetable can be found here – running order note.
