Cabinet Member for Children and Learning Linda Kemeny has set out key successes after Surrey County Council launched an innovative way of improving young people’s services.
At a meeting of the Cabinet to sign off plans to continue the approach, she highlighted that Surrey:
- has the fewest young people classed as not in education, employment and training in the country
- saw a near 60% drop in the number of Surrey NEETs in five years
- recorded a 90% fall in first-time offenders in four years.
The list of successes can be found on page three of a Cabinet report.
