British cycling stars line up for Prudential RideLondon-Surrey race

The new generation of British cycling stars will race against the world’s strongest teams in Sunday’s Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic.

Commonwealth Games road race bronze medallist Scott Thwaites, Simon Yates, who made his Tour de France debut this summer, and Team Sky’s Luke Rowe will power along Surrey’s roads together with former British champion Ian Stannard.

They will be competing against the likes of Belkin Pro Cycling’s Laurens ten Dam, who finished in the Tour’s top 10 this summer, Omega Pharma-Quick-Step sprinter Mark Renshaw and BMC’s 2012 world road race champion Philippe Gilbert.
