Deepcut inquest, HP

Pre-inquest hearing into Deepcut death to be held in London

A pre-inquest review into the death of Private Cheryl James will take place on Friday 27 February.

Private James died of a gunshot wound in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The High Court ruled last year that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into her death should be quashed and a fresh inquest ordered.

The new inquest will be conducted by His Honour Brian Barker QC.

The pre-inquest review will be held in public at 10am in court 65 at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL.
