Plans to bolster buying power and save millions of pounds by sharing services with East Sussex have been signed off by Surrey County Council.
The Cabinet has approved a proposal to launch a joint initiative, which will:
- Cover teams in IT, human resources, property, procurement, finance, legal and other services
- Save up to £8 million annually within four years
- Aim to provide services in partnership with other public sector organisations
- Deliver public service innovation.
East Sussex’s Cabinet is due to consider the plans next month.
