Deepcut inquest, General, HP

Pre-inquest hearing into Deepcut death to be held in Woking

A pre-inquest review into the death of Cheryl James will take place on Thursday 10 September.

Miss James died of a gunshot wound in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The High Court ruled last year that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into the soldier’s death should be quashed and a fresh inquest held.

The new inquest will be conducted by His Honour Brian Barker QC.

The venue for the pre-inquest review on 10 September is HM Coroner’s Court, Station Approach, Woking, Surrey GU22 7AP.
It will be held in public at 2pm.
