Surrey chairman congratulates HM The Queen on becoming Britain’s longest-reigning monarch

At 5.30pm today, HM The Queen will become the longest-reigning monarch in British sovereign history and the Chairman of Surrey County Council has offered her congratulations.

Mrs Marks said: “It is a testament to Her Majesty that today there will be no grand celebrations but simply another day in an extraordinary reign of selfless duty, grace and dignity that has earned admiration not only in Britain but across the world. On behalf of Surrey I congratulate Her Majesty on her achievement.”
