Cheryl James inquest: Coroner publishes findings

His Honour Brian Barker QC, who has conducted an inquest into the death of Cheryl James, has delivered his conclusions.

Ms James died of a gunshot wound in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The High Court ruled in 2014 that the inquest held on 21 December 1995 into the soldier’s death should be quashed and a fresh inquest held.

The new inquest began on Monday 1 February and His Honour Brian Barker QC announced his conclusions on Friday 3 June at HM Coroner’s Court in Woking, Surrey.

A copy of his findings of fact can be found here.
