VIDEO: 65p in every council pound goes on children and adults’ wellbeing

As demand for critical services continues to rise, Surrey leader David Hodge has revealed that almost two thirds of the county council’s spending goes on the wellbeing of adults and children – 65 pence in every pound.

In the video below he points to the number of older people needing the highest level of care rising by more than 50% in the past five years and 1,600 extra young people requiring greater special educational needs assistance within eight years.
