Plans unveiled to tackle congestion and boost economic growth in Guildford

Multi-million pound plans designed to tackle congestion, boost economic growth and help people get around safely have been unveiled for one of Guildford’s busiest routes.

Surrey County Council and Guildford Borough Council aim to bid for almost £4 million of funding from local enterprise partnership Enterprise M3 to improve the route between Surrey Research Park and the University of Surrey.

The graphic below outlines the main proposals to promote walking by improving pedestrian safety, encourage cycling and improve traffic flow to support growth. Further details can be found on Surrey County Council’s website, where residents are also to find out how to give their views on which parts of the project they would like to see prioritised.
