Esso events about consultation on replacement fuel pipeline

Esso is staging a series of events in Surrey for residents to find out more about its proposals for a replacement aviation fuel pipeline.

It plans to replace around 55 miles of underground pipe and has launched a consultation about possible options.

The next Surrey event will be held at Ashford Community Centre on 3 April between 2pm and 8pm followed by exhibitions at Chobham Village Hall on 6 April and Wrecclesham Community Centre on 7 April.

A list of all the events in the county can be found on Esso’s consultation website together with more information about the proposed project and how to respond.

Get set for a pirate treasure hunt

Budding young treasure hunters are invited to set sail for a swashbuckling adventure at Cranleigh Library.

A children’s pirate treasure hunt is running from now until the end of May, with youngsters encouraged to find the hidden clues and solve riddles in order to win a prize.

Pop into the branch between 9.30am and 5pm Tuesday to Saturday or check the council’s website for more details.
