A pre-inquest review hearing into the death of Private Geoff Gray will take place in London on Friday 6 April 2018.
It is being held in advance of the fresh inquest into Pte Gray’s death which is likely to be heard in 2019.
Pte Gray was found dead at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey in September 2001. The High Court ruled last November that the inquest into his death, held in March 2002, should be quashed and a new inquest held. The fresh investigation and inquest will be conducted by His Honour Peter Rook QC who has been appointed as an Assistant Coroner for Surrey.
The pre-inquest review hearing will be held in public at 2pm on Friday 6 April at the Central Criminal Court, Old Bailey, London EC4M 7EH. A pre-inquest review hearing is an administrative hearing and no evidence will be heard.
