Surrey’s partner organisations support county council plans for local government reorganisation

Yesterday, Surrey County Council’s Cabinet approved a plan for local government reorganisation in the county. The plan will be sent to government on 9 May, and proposes two councils, East and West Surrey, to replace the existing 12 councils. Yvonne Rees confirmed as Mole Valley’s permanent chief executive

One woman will help to steer two councils after being confirmed in a ground-breaking double leadership role. Yvonne Rees has been made Mole Valley District Council’s permanent chief executive while also continuing as a strategic director at Surrey County Council. Yvonne Rees continues as Mole Valley’s Interim Chief Executive
